Assistant City Manager Kevin Mayhorn
Kevin Mayhorn came to the City of Paris to fulfill the role as Assistant City Manager in January 2023. Mr. Mayhorn has over 20 years of experience in the public sector. When he first began utility work in Pike County, Kentucky, he started as a flagman. With hard work and dedication, he continued to be promoted. His diverse professional experience helped him develop a sound understanding of City management. Some of his former positions include flagman, construction laborer, equipment operator, foreman, purchasing agent, human resources, financial coordinator, safety director, superintendent of public works, as well as director of engineering and operations. He holds a Class III water distribution license, a certificate in public leadership, and human resource management.
Mr. Mayhorn states, “I am excited to work alongside Mrs. Miller, The Mayor, and the Commissioners to serve the Citizens of Paris.” Mr. Mayhorn says he is excited to learn more about the other departments that help run the City of Paris. Mr. Mayhorn has an open-door policy, and he looks forward to working with all the employees, community leaders, and citizens of Paris.
When Mr. Mayhorn is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and their dog. During the summer, you can usually find him at a baseball field watching his youngest play. He also has a passion for sports photography.
